Understanding the Challenge

Frac tanks, essential for storing fluids, require specialized equipment and expertise to move safely and efficiently. Our customer needed a reliable method to transport these tanks, and we were determined to deliver.

Adapting Our Equipment

To meet this challenge, we utilized our 379 Peterbilt Low Boy truck, a versatile vehicle already equipped for heavy-duty tasks. Recognizing the need for additional power and precision, we decided to augment our truck with a military-grade hydraulic winch capable of handling up to 45,000 pounds winching force.

The modification process was both meticulous and creative. We sourced the necessary parts and constructed a custom stand for the base of the winch. This stand was securely mounted to the truck chassis, ensuring stability and optimal positioning. The winch was then installed atop this stand, allowing for the correct angle to maneuver over the truck's fifth wheel and facilitating smooth chain and hook clearance.

To enhance the functionality of the winch, we integrated a late-model hydraulic hand valve, providing precise control over the winch's operations. Additionally, we equipped the truck with a wireless remote-control system, enabling seamless operation from the cab. The winch features a two-step PTO (Power Take-Off), allowing for adjustable speed settings, either slow or fast depending on the specific requirements of the task at hand.

Sharing Our Success

We are eager to share the results of our efforts and will be uploading images and videos of the tank moves in the near future. These updates will showcase the practical application of our modifications and highlight the innovative solutions we provide to our customers.

Our recent project is a testament to our commitment to meeting customer needs with ingenuity and determination. Whether it's moving frac tanks or addressing any other towing and transportation requirements, we are dedicated to finding a way to help and deliver outstanding service.
